Gaming PC Peripherals? Hey guys, building my very first Gaming PC soon. Have all the necessary parts figured out, now its down to all the peripherals. First, I want a good Mechanical Keyboard. It should have back lighting (Red, Green, or Blue). I prefer the Cherry MX Red keys. Also, it should have programmable keys. Basically, it all comes down to look for me. I guess that makes it hard on you guys, but at least one of you should know of some amazing looking keyboards. ($150 max) Next, I need a gaming mouse. Honestly, the mouse doesn't need to be all that great. As long as it is made for gaming I'm sure it will be fine. ($50 max) Third, a fantastic monitor for gaming. 1080p of course. 2ms. ($150) Finally, speakers. Just need great sound. Nothing too fancy. Thanks a lot for all your suggestions!

Help on building gaming PC - what parts are recommended + extras? Ive been told I can design myself a Gaming PC which will be funded as a gift. Id like to have more than I need so the PC won't become outdated quickly. Id like to be able to play the highest demanding games without having to worry about slow speeds/lowering graphics. In short, what are some specs/parts I should be looking for? (eg. 1GB Graphics, HDD size, Processors, GB of RAM etc). Also, 1. Is it better to have say, a 1TB HDD or two 500GB HDD? 2. My current screen/monitor uses the regular blue input, is it worth getting a HD sreen with HDMI for gaming if I am going to have a decent PC? 3. Is it worth placing extra fans in the PC/how do I reduce the running noise? 4. What kind of RAM should I use? 5. I've heard about USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, which one should I get + positives/negatives Thanks for reading

Should I buy a gaming pc in parts or all at once? I'm trying to build a gaming PC that's around $1400.00. I'm on a tight budget so i was thinking i could buy it in parts. This would allow me to splurge a little on better parts. Problem is the return policy is only good for 30 days so if something's broken, I've just got a bunch of expensive paper weights lying around. This is my first time doing this and I'm curious as to how it's normally done. Any suggestions?

Where is the best place to buy pc parts? I know Amazon is a great place. Please do not say eBay, as their customer support is rubbish and 1/3 of their items for sale are knock off. I live in United Kingdom, and I am planning on building a gaming pc. I know what parts I want to but, but what I don't know is where to buy them. The prices for the parts on Amazon are good, not amazing but good. I looked on Newegg and their price is outstanding, only they don't ship internationally. Could anyone recommend a place to buy pc parts, please? Thanks in advance. P.S only recommend if you have been their before, thanks.
How can i convince my parents to help pay for my gaming PC? So here's the thing. I got a laptop a while back for Christmas about 2 years ago. I loved it but it's just not up to parr with video games these days. So my friend suggested i invest in a gaming PC and order the parts online and build it. So i agreed. This worked out perfectly because i have a summer job and i will have about $950 by the end of summer, as i am not full time. All the parts my friend found for me add up to about $1226. So thats about $200 more than i can handle, but i am definitely not willing to downgrade the parts, as i gave my friend a preset budget of 1200. But i figured i can handle the extra $26. So that's that. And not to mention my birthday is coming up in about a week. I told my parents that i would be paying for about 4/5 of it, and my birthday is coming up, but they seem to still be skeptical about it. Can anyone, please, give me any suggestions that i can say to my parents to seal the deal?
What parts should I use in a budget gaming PC? I'm going to build a budget gaming pc and I'm wondering what parts I should use. I really don't care about looks too much and I'm not planning on overclocking, Can anyone recommend some parts? Oh, and the monitor doesn't have to be full HD, but it's preferable.

What parts would I need for my gaming pc? I am planning on building a mid-range gaming pc. It needs to be able to play things like fallout, skyrim etc. with relative ease. I needs to know the components, as well as things like the best keyboards and such. I have a price range of about £1000, and all parts need to be able to get in the UK. Thank you in advance!
What parts should I use to build a high performance gaming PC? I want to buy a custom gaming PC. This desktop would be specifically for games so functionality isn't that important to me. I want it to be a high performance computer to be able to run any game on medium or high settings. My budget is $700 but I'm willing to go up to $900 (not including monitor). However, anything cheaper is also okay! I know that I want the CPU to be from intel, and I would like an nvidia GeForce graphics card. But all other parts are up in the air! I do not have a monitor or an OS either (but I have an idea for both) so you can throw those in for suggestions as well!

How much would it cost to build a good gaming pc? Im graduating from college and im expecting to get a gift from my mom. I have a really shitty laptop that I have been using for 4 years and I think she is going to give me a mac. Thats what she got my sister when she graduated. What gaming PC should I ask for this Christmas? This Christmas I am asking for a new gaming PC so that I can start playing more PC games on my computer again. The thing about my current PC is that I don't think that the new PC games that I want to play on it will run smoothly. Some of the games I plan on playing are Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 (assuming it turns out to be really good when the relaunch of it happens), Diablo 3, might consider getting Skyrim (because the PS3 version is just CRAP), and might try some shooters if I feel like it. My current computer runs actually pretty good except the graphics card keeps overheating when I play a game. Be it a flash game (like a fb game) or try an online game like Final Fantasy XI. I also from time to time use an art program called GIMP and just practice doing artwork on the computer. The program takes up a lot of space both for the program and the pictures I make. It also gets a virus from time to time but that's mainly because I only have Norton Security. Wondering if it would be better to just get an Apple computer. So I what I want to know is this. Should I ask for a new computer? If so, which one that can be found for around $500 to $700. OR Should I just get someone to work on my computer and buy new parts for it. I know that often can be cheaper to do and less of a headache to move all my files over. I will post my specs below. OS: Windows Vista Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) System Manufacturer: HP-Pavilion System Model: FQ550AA-ABA m9426f Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz Memory: 8190MB RAM Hard Drive Space: 431 GB free of 582 GB Would really appriciate any informative input on this.

How/where can I get free gaming PC parts or gaming PC? Hi. I live in Guam. I'm 16 & my mom's in the Navy. We don't really have much money & my mom won't drive me to get police/court clearance that's needed to get a job here out in town. Also, our 2 PCs suck. They are nearly 10 years old, one of them more and can barely run the internet. I would like to play PC games but can't. I don't live on base, unforutunately. Does anyone know where I can get a free gaming computer or free gaming PC parts or anyone that would be willing to donate to me? Please don't suggest surveys none of them have any surveys or offers for Guam, even though it's a U.S. territory. All realistic & honest answers will be much appreicated! -Thank You I also want to make my own programs & games. My teacher has already given me Blender but I can't use it on my PC's.

question on gaming pc parts prices? I want to build a high quality gaming pc but i just dan't have the money to even build a regular quality one. Do you think that prices on the really expensive hardware will drop in the next couple years or will they increase as the hardware gets more advance? The reason i am asking this is because most of the time what will happen is that the prices keep increasing with the more advance hardware and retailers stop selling the old hardware completely without lowering the price. i could be wrong on all of that because i haven't been gaming for that long but that is what i have noticed.

Help with gaming PC components? I'm gonna buy a new custom-built Alienware m17 or m15x gaming notebook, but I need to be sure of how I'm gonna buy it. I know about all the different components, but some things have me confused, for example: 1. Which is better: a 3.2 GHz single-core, 2.8 GHz dual-core, or 2.26 GHz quad-core processor and by how much? 2. Do I need a faster processor for 4GB RAM than for 2GB RAM? 3.Do dual graphics cards need a faster processor or more RAM than single graphics cards? 4.Will a dual-layer blu-ray drive read game CD's and DVD's slower than an 8X dual-layer DVD-ROM drive? 5. Do i need a faster CPU or more RAM for multiple hard drives? 6. Does the built-in digital TV tuner need anything else (cable\satellite subscription, antenna) to receive channels? Also, if you have any recommendations for components like processor types/speeds, graphics cards types, etc., to be able to run the latest graphics-intensive games, please tell me. Also, please answer only if you actually know what you're talking about because that's a couple thousand bucks I'll be throwing down the drain if I order a laptop with parts that won't work right together. Thanks. I have a $3000 limit. maybe up to $3500 I know I might sound like an idiot (cause I do know about computers), but I needed to dumb myself down to make sure I got all the info I need; its better than pretending like I know everything and not getting any info.

a good hard drive for a gaming pc, with these components? im building a PC, look at my other questions if you like my motherboard will be a Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6 processor - Intel Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 I need a good hard drive, or a combo of two hard drives, one for booting up the OS, this will be the hard drive that i want programs running from, the other hard drive, mainly for storage, theres one ive seen, take a look at it tell me what you think the one in the link i think will be the one for storage, but i still need your recommendations for a good hard drive for the other stuff if you wanna take a look at one of my previous questions;_ylt=AiEZS6CQEcIJOJDs3p5Xb_Hsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080709131053AAsyfo8 some people commented that a 7200 rpm HDD wouldnt be good for such a high end system, so im thinking i need a faster one, thats where you come in, but also if the one i already have listed in the link is good for storage by combo of two hard drives i dont mean a sale at a store for two drives i mean two good hard drives that will run smoothly together thanks to everyone

Components for High-End gaming PC? I am going to get a new gaming desktop soon, and I do not want something pre-built, I want all the components, and built it myself, as there is alot more to choose between among components. I will probably not be going to use more than 10k NOK (1.800$). Now, I want anyone who is SERIOUS to link me a list of all components I need, and something around this price. BTW, it is going to be an i7 system. Thank you.
